Reading the Word Together
Every day is a new invitation to meet God in His Word. Here's how we do it together — quietly, unhurriedly, and with fresh verses every morning.
Today's Scripture
Daily Scripture
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Six Steps to Read Together
Simple enough for anyone. Deep enough to change you. Repeat each day.
Choose a Passage
Pick a book or chapter from the Bible. Start anywhere — Genesis, a Psalm, a letter of Paul. The Spirit will guide your choice. If you're in a circle, agree on a passage together the week before.
Quiet Your Heart
Before you read, pause. Close your eyes for sixty seconds. Light a candle if it helps. Ask God to open your eyes and soften your heart to what He wants to say to you today.
Read Slowly, Twice
Read the passage once straight through for the story. Then read it again, slowly, one verse at a time. Don't rush. Let words and phrases sink in like rain into dry soil.
Write One Thing
Open a journal or notes app and write down one verse or phrase that stood out. Just one sentence about why it touched you is enough. You don't need to be a scholar.
Pray the Word Back
Turn what you read into a prayer. Speak the verse back to God in your own words. If you read about His faithfulness, thank Him for it. If you read a command, ask for strength to obey.
Share with a Sister
Post your reflection on the prayer wall, bring it to your circle, or send it to a friend. When we share what God is saying to us, it multiplies. You are not reading alone.
